الهوية السودانية بين التسبيك والتفكيك

لقد رأيت في خطاب السيد الصادق المهدي في اللقاء الذي أقامه الاتحاد العام للطلاب السودانيين بقاعة الشهيد الزبير محمد صالح، وبعنوان "الهوية السودانية بين التسبيك والتفكيك"، الكثير الذي يحتاج لنقاش، ولقد رجعت في ذلك إلى خطاب السيد الصادق في النسخة التي نشرت في موقع سودانايل يوم 22 أبريل 2004.
ولقد تضمن الخطاب عشرة نقاط بدأها بمدخل عن حيرة شباب اليوم وتشاؤمهم وبما يحيط بهم من إحباط، ثم تناول بروز قضية الهوية في المجتمعات متنوعة الانتماءات، ومفهوم الهوية الأوحادية المركزية مثل الهوية العربية الاسلامية في السودان التي أسقطت حقوق الآخرين وقادتْهم للدفاع عن حقوهم بشتى الوسائل بما في ذلك المقاومة المسلحة. وبين أن "المشهد إذا ما عولج بنظرة تركيبية لهوية لا آحادية يؤدي للتسبيك، والعكس يؤدي للتفكيك".
ثم تناول النقاط العشر في شرح موجز ووافي بدأها بالمفهوم الأحادي للهوية ثم التعامل مع الهوية في السودان وآثار سياسات الانقاذ على الهوية والاستقطاب حول الهوية والتفكيك والتقاطعات السودانية وتناول الاتفاقيات التي وقعتها الحكومة ولم تحقق السلام والمرجعيتين الواجبتين الدينية والمدنية والمعادلة التوفيقية وأخيراً بطاقة الهوية.
اود التعرض لجانبين اتيا في الخطاب احدهما عن الاثنيات في السودان، والثاني عن الهوية الاسلامية العربية. وسأبدأ الحديث بهذا الجانب الأخير.
لم يكن الدين واللغة شرطاً في هوية سكان دولة المدينة
وبدون الدخول في أي تفاصيل نضرب مثلاً بهوية سكان دولة المدينة. فالرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم حدد هوية الأمة في صحيفة المدينة عقب دخوله يثرب مباشرة. فتكونت الأمة من مسلمين وغير مسلمين ومن عرب ويهود وغيرهم، ومن لغات عربية وعبرية وغيرها. أفلا تتكوّن أمة السودان من مسلمين وغير مسلمين ومن متحدثي اللغة العربية والمتحدثين بغيرها أسوة بدولة المدينة ذات الهوية الجامعة؟ نحن سودانيون مسلمون وغير مسلمين متحدثى اللغة العربية وناطقين بغيرها نكوِّن الأمة السودانية وننتمي كلنا لهذا البلد.
واللغة العربية لا ارتباط لها بالعرق، فاللغة العربية بعد اﻻسلام أصبحت لغة الإسلام، لغة مُصدري الإسلام والقرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية. الدين الإسلامي هو الدين الوحيد الذي ارتبط بلغته الأصل اللغة العربية. أين لغة المسيح عليه السلام الأرامية؟ وهل هنالك إنجيل مكتوب الآن بتلك اللغة؟ وماذا كانت لغة التوراة الأصلية التي أوحى الله بها إلى موسى؟ هل هي اللغة المصرية القديمة؟ أم هي اللغة التي كان يتحدث بها أبناء يعقوب (إسرائيل) في مصر في ذلك الوقت؟ وهل كان آل يعقوب يتحثون اللغة العبرية في ذلك الوقت؟ ولماذا أقدم نسخة للكتاب المقدس مكتوبة باللغة اليونانية؟
لقد جنينا على اللغة العربية بربطها بالعرق العربي بعد اﻻسلام. وهل كل العرب في العالم مسلمين؟
أين العرب المسيحيين في العراق وسوريا ولبنان وفلسطين؟ وما يروى من حديث بأن العروبة لسان فحديث ضعيف لم يرد في كل كتب الحديث الصحاح والمتون والمسانيد، ورواه الجاحظ وضعفه ابن عساكر. وقد تناولت موضوع هذا الحديث في شيء من التفصيل في موقع سودانايل 25 ابريل 2011.
ذكر السيد الصادق المهدي أن فكرة "الهوية الاسلامية العربية" ظهرت منذ ماقبل الاستقلال بين بعض قادة الحركة الوطنية، إلا أن حكومة الانقاذ أعلنت عنها وتبنتها عبر المؤتمر الشعبي الاسلامي العربي عام 1992. ووضح أن ذلك أدى في عام 1993 إلى معارضة الأحزاب الجنوبية لشعورهم بأنهم أصبحوا مواطنين من الدرجة الثانية، الأمر الذي أدى إلى إنفصالهم في النهاية. ووضح كيف أدى التمسك بهذا المفهوم الأحادي للهوية إلى بروز مواقف مضادة سياسية وفكرية وحركات مسلحة، وأجج الصراع الاثني والجهوي.
ومن بين الأفكار التي طرحها السيد الصادق لمعالجة هذه القضية ورد في النقطة العاشرة ما يلي:
- السودان شعب أغلبية أهله مسلمون تساكنهم مجموعات وطنية متعددة الأديان، ولغة الخطاب فيه عربية تعايشها ثقافات زنجية ونوبية ونوباوية وتبداوية.
- لكل المجموعات الدينية والثقافية الحق في حرية العقيدة وحرية التعبير عن ثقافاتهم ولغاتهم وتواريخهم.
- ينعم كافة أهل السودان بحقوق مواطنة متساوية بصرف النظر عن الدين أو الثقافة أو النوع.
وبالرغم من أن الصادق المهدي يصف الهوية الاسلامية العربية- في النقطة الثالثة- بالهوية الفوقية ويوضح مثالبها في أكثر من موضع، ألا أن مفهوم الهوية في الغالب يخاطب الآخر. فرغم أن الصادق المهدي ينادي في النقطة العاشرة "بأن ينعم كافة أهل السودان بحقوق متساوية" إلا أن خطابه في بعض المواضع لا يحمل تلك المساواة، بل يعكس مفهوم الخطاب الثقافي الفوقي- شأنه في ذلك شأن الكثيرين- والذي شجبه في خطابه.
ويعني ذلك أن الشعور بالـ"أنا ونحن" والشعور بالوِصاية لا يزال نشِطاً في دواخلنا. فـ(الأنا ونحن) و(هو والآخر وهم والآخرون) كل ذلك ظاهر في كثير من خطاباتنا. ف(الأنا ونحن) تمثل المركز الأساس الذي يدور حوله الآخرون. وليس المقصود بالمركز هنا الموقع الجغرافي بل المقصود المركزية في الاذهان، "نحن" المركزية في مفاهيمنا.
عندما يكون هنالك محور يكون هنالك هامش، وعندما يتمحور فكرنا في شريحة واحدة في المجتمع تكون هنالك بالضرورة شريحة أو شرائح تتمترس ضد المحور. أي أنه ليس هنالك مساواة بين شرائح المجتمع. المساواة تعني مخاطبة الجميع بالتساوي "بصرف النظر عن الدين أو الثقافة أو النوع" كما عبر الصادق المهدي في الفقرة رقم 3 أعلاه.
أنا لا أطالب ب"تجميل" خطابنا وعباراتنا، فالخطاب الذي ينقل واقع الشعور والمفاهيم هو الخطاب الصادق وهو مطلوب. وينبغي علينا مراجعة مثل هذه الخطابات لنواجهها بالنقد.
يخاطب السيد الصادق المهدي في الفقرة رقم 1 أعلاه الأغلبية المسلمة في المجتمع باعتبارها الشريحة الأساس التي "تساكنها" المجموعات الأخرى، ولغة تخاطبها العربية، تعايشها جماعات ولغات وثقافات أخرى. فالفقرة تخاطب فئتين: الفئة الأولى (الأغلبية المسلمة متحدثة اللغة العربية) والفئة الثانية (ذوي الثقافات الأخرى). الاحساس والتعبير عن المحور، المركز/ الهامش، يبدو واضحاً في هذا التقسيم.
الآخر الذي تخاطبه هذه الفقرة يحس بعدم المساواة والتهميش وبالوصاية عليه. نفس إحساس الجنوبيين عام 1992 والذي أدى بهم للانفصال في نهاية الطريق. إذا كان مفهومنا وخطابنا موجه للكل وبالتساوي لجاءت العبارات في الفقرة رقم 1 أعلاه بصورة أخرى مثل: "السودان شعب متعدد الديانات وتتعايش فيه لغات وثقافات متعددة".
والفقرة الثانية أعلاة ترتبط بالفقرة الأولى، الفقرة التي تحدثت عن ديانة الأغلبية المسلمة ومن يعايشهم من أصحاب الديانات الأخرى، والثانية تحدثت عن حرية العقيدة للمجموعات الدينية.
فهل ياترى تخاطب هذه الفقرة الأغلبية المسلمة وتقرر حقها في حرية العقيدة؟ من الواضح أن هذه الفقرة تخاطب مجموعتين متمايزتين الأولى: الأغلبية المسلمة، والمجموعة الثانية: المجموعة ذات الثقافات الزنجية والنوبية والنوباوية والتبداوية.
واضطراب الخطاب وعدم مصداقيته يظهر واضحاً عند التساؤل: ألا يوجد في المجموعة الثانية مسلمين؟ وكيف فصلوا من المجموعة الأولى (الأغلبية المسلمة). من الواضح أن التقسيم في الأساس لم يقم على الدين أو الثقافة، بل قام على الإثنية، العرب وغير العرب، نحن وهم، المركز والهامش. الخطاب في الأساس ليس للكل، ولو كان الخطاب للكل لما كان هنالك داع لهذه الفقرة، ولجاءت الفقرة الأولى كالآتي: ""السودان شعب متعدد الديانات وتتعايش فيه لغات وثقافات متعددة ويتمتع الجميع بحرية العبادة والتعبير عن ثقافاتهم.
خطورة هذا المفهوم السائد أنه يميز فئة باعتبارها الأصل أو المركز الذي يتفضل ويعترف بالآخرين. في الهوية الجامعة حيث ليس هنالك "نحن" و"الآخرون". الهوية الشاملة الجامعة تخاطب الكل بالتساوي، ﻻ يتفضل أحد بقبول الآخر، هنالك الجميع، ليس هنالك مركز وهامش.
2. السودان في المصادر اليونانية والرومانية والعربية
تناول السيد الصادق الإثنيات في السودان في عدد من المواضع في خطابه المذكور. بدأها بالحديث عن الهوية الاسلامية العربية التي تأسست على الإثنية العربية كما يتضح من خطابه الذي وصف فيه أصحاب هذه الهوية بأنهم:
(أمة أصلها العرب *** دينها خير دين يحب).
ووضح الصادق المهدي كيف أن تبني هذه الهوية الأحادية أدي إلى تولد التوجهات الافريقانية المعارضة. كما أشار إلى أن النظام الحاكم استخدم التناقض الإثني لحشد التأييد لسياساته وبين النتائج المدمرة التي ترتبت على ذلك.
ولا أرى أن هنالك تناقض إثني في السودان، لكن النظام استغل الصراع القبلي الذي يحدث أحياناً حتى بين أفراد القبيلة الواحدة، ووجهه لتحقيق المكاسب السياسية. وقد وضحت دراسات الحامض النووي والدراسات التاريخية واللغوية الكثير من السمات والقواسم المشتركة بين مختلف الإثنيات في السودان.
وأود هنا التوقف مع بعض ما ورد في خطاب السيد الصادق المهدي في النقطتين العاشرة والخامسة، جاء في الفقرة العاشرة: "السودان شعب أغلبية أهله مسلمون تساكنهم مجموعات وطنية متعددة الأديان، ولغة الخطاب فيه عربية تعايشها ثقافات زنجية ونوبية ونوباوية وتبداوية (بجا)".
تناولتُ ما يتعلق بالهوية الاسلامية العربية في هذه الفقرة في الحلقة السابقة، وأشرت إلى أن أصحاب هذه الهوية كما ورد في الخطاب "أمة أصلها العرب" فهذه الهوية تأسست على الإثنية العربية. وقد قسمت هذه الفقرة- من ناحية ثانية- سكان السودان إلى 1- "أغلبية مسلمة لغتها عربية" و2. "مجموعات وطنية متعددة الديانات والثقافات".
والسؤال الذي يبرز هنا هو، وكما ذكرنا: هل هنالك مسلمين ومتحدثي العربية بين أفراد المجموعة الثانية ذات الثقافات الزنجية والنوبية بشقيها والبجاوية؟ بالطبع الاجابة نعم. والسؤال الثاني: إذاً لماذا فصلوا من المجموعة الأولى المسلمة متحدثة العربية؟.
الجواب هو أن هذا التقسيم في الأساس قام على الإثنية، فليس كل مسلم يتكلم العربية في هذه الحالة عربيّاً. فالعربي هو الذي لغته الأم عربية. أما الذي يتكلم لغة أخرى، والتي يسمونها امعانا في التهميش: (رطانة)، فهو غير عربي، وبالتالي لا يدخل في هوية المجموعة العربية المسلمة الذين ليس رطانة لهم.
الانتساب للعروبة ظهر- يا سادتي- في عصر دولة الفونج، أي قبل نحو خمسمائة سنة فقط. والزنوج مصطلح إن وجد في السودان فهو في حدود لا تكاد تذكر، فأين هم سكان السودان قبل خمسمائة عام؟
وجاء في الفقرة الخامسة في خطاب السيد الصادق المهدي عن سكان السودان: "في السودان تنوع إثني من خمسة مجموعات: عربية، زنجية، بجاوية، نوبية ونوباوية".
هل يتكون كل سكان السودان من هذه الاثنيات الخمس فقط؟ أين موقع قبائل الفور والبرتي والميدوب والتنجر والداجو والزغاوة والميما والمساليت والمسبعات والقرعان وأم بررو والبرقو والبرنو والفلاني والفلاته والهوسى والتكرور والبرتا والبرون والوطاويط والهمج والانقسنا والقمز وكثير غيرهم.
أين يقع هولاء من تقسيم السيد الصادق المهدي؟ ومن هم العرب والزنج في السودان؟ ومن هم النوبا بشقيهم الجنوبي والشمالي؟.
كل هذه الأسماء- باستثناء البجا- ذوات مدلولات حديثة في السودان، ولا تعبر كلها عن تاريخ وتراث كل الشعب السوداني. هذه الإثنيات وأسماء القبائل المتعددة المعروفة حالياً في الوسط والشرق والغرب والشمال ترجع- ما عدا النوبا والبجا- إلى ما بعد القرن 15 الميلادي. فأين هم سكان السودان قبل ذلك؟. كان السودان قطراً مأهولاً بالسكان ذوو نشاطات مختلفة من زراعة ورعي وصيد، قامت فيه الممالك وشيدت فيه المدن. ورصدت المصادر القديمة ذلك التراث. ويمكن إلقاء نظرة سريعة على بعض ما ورد في بعض المصادر اليونانية والرومانية والعربية.
كان اسم سكان السودان منذ الألف الثالث قبل الميلاد كما ورد في الآثار المصرية القديمة هو "كوش" وعرف أهله بالكوشيين وحكامهم "بملوك كوش" وظل هذا الاسم علماً على الدولة والشعب والملوك حتى عصر مملكة مروي آخر الممالك الكوشية القديمة التي انتهى حكمها في القرن الرابع الميلاي. ثم عرفت افريقيا جنوب الصحراء بما في ذلك السودان في المصادر اليونانية والرومانية باسم اثيوبيا، وعرف سكانها بالاثيوبيين. واشتهر هذا الاسم في ذلك الوقت للدلالة على سكان المملكتين الكوشيتين نبتة ومروي وسكانهما. ومعني الاسم السكان ذوي البشرة السوداء، أي "السود"، كما استخدمت تلك المصادر والمصادر الإثيوبية اسم النوبا للدلالة على سكان مملكة مروي. ثم جاء العرب وأطلقوا اسم السودان أي "السود" بنفس الدلالة التي استخدمها اليونانيون والرومان للاسم. وإلى جانب اسم السودان خصصت المصادر العربية اسم النوبا للدلالة على سكان مملكتي علوة ومقرة، كما استخدمت اسم الحبش للدلالة على سكان اثيوبيا الحالية وفي بعض الأحيان للدلالة على سكان السودان أيضاً.
وقد وردت في المصادراليونانية والرومانية معلومات غزيرة عن سكان السودان ومدنهم (انظر سامية بشير دفع الله، السودان في كتب اليونان والرومان). مثال ذلك ما نقله بليني عن بيون الذي عاش في بداية القرن الثالث قبل الميلاد من أسماء أكثرمن أربعين مدينة ومناطق حضرية بين دارفور والبحر الأحمر وذكر أسماء 18 قبيلة لا يوجد من تلك الأسماء اليوم سوى النوبا. ومن أمثلة تلك الأسماء بين النيل الأزرق والجبال: السمباريون والفاليجي، والأسخان وهم مجموعة من القبائل يسكنون الجبال.. يعتمدون في رزقهم على صيد الأفيال".
أما المصادر العربية فقد أسهبت في تناول سكان السودان قبل القرن الخامس عشر. فعلى سبيل المثال ذكر ابن حوقل وابن سليم الأسواني من بين سكان مملكة علوة: العنج والكرنيكا وتكنة ومرنكة وكرسي وطُبلي والأحديين وأندا أزكرسا والتبان وكنكا. وحدد ابن حوقل حدود مملكة علوة شرقا بمملكة تفلين في دلتا القاش وغرباً ببلد أمقل التي قال عنها: "ناحية كبيرة ذات قرى لا تحصى وأمم مختلفة ولغات كثيرة متباينة لا يحاط بها ولا يبلغ غايتهم يعرفون بالأحديين، وفيهم معادن الذهب الجيد والتبر الخالص والحديد متصلين بالمغرب إلى ما لا يعرف منتهاه، زيهم زي المغاربة، أرباب جمال وخيل ورازين غير تامة الخلق لقصرها وقرب لبودها، وسلاحهم فيه درق كدرق المغاربة بيض وحراب، وسيوفهم أيضا غير تامة، وفيهم جند يلبسون السراويلات المفتحة الطوال ونعالهم كنعال المغاربة وهم على النصرانية، وهم في طاعة ملك علوة".
وعن قبائل شرق السودان ذكرت المصادر: الحداربة والبلين والزنافجة والخاسة إلى جانب البجة الداخلة الذين قال عنهم ابن سليم "في صحراء بلد علوة مما يلي البحر الملح إلى أوّل الحبشة، ورجالهم في الظعن والمواشي واتباع الرعي والمعيشة، والمراكب والسلاح، كحال قبائل الداخل". ومن الأسماء التي وردت عند ابن حوقل عن قبائل الداخل: قعصة وبواتيكة وكديم والماتين وبازين وبارية والحلنقة. معرفتنا الحالية يا سادتي عن سكان السودان وقبائله تأسست على المفاهيم التي سادت في السودان منذ نحو ثلاثة أو أربعة قرون فقط، وحفظتها لنا روايات التراث المحلي عن أصول سكان السودان. فكل أسماء قبائل السودان المعروفة اليوم- ما عدا القليل جدا- أسماء جديدة لم تكن موجودة قبل نحو ثلاثة أو أربعة قرون.
3. من هم العرب في السودان وما هو مصدر معرفتنا بهم ؟
رأينا كيف أن المصادر اليونانية تحدثت عن سكان السودان الكوشيون ومدنهم وقبائلهم، ثم تناولنا بعض إشارات المصادر العربية إلى سكان السودان وقبائلهم، ورأينا أن الغالبية العظمى من تلك القبائل لم ترد أسماؤها بعد القرن الخامس عشر الميلادي. وخلصنا إلى أن معرفتنا بالقبائل الحالية ظهرت في خلال الثلاث أو الأربعة قرون الماضية. فمن هم العرب؟ وما هو مصدر معلوماتنا عنهم وعن سكان السودان وقبائله في الخمسة قرون الماضية؟
معلوماتنا عن سكان السودان وقبائله في الخمسة قرون الماضية مصدرها روايات التراث المحلي التي ترجع إلى بداية قيام دولة سنار كتبها في البداية السمرقندي للسلطان العثماني عندما غزا مصر عام 1522، ووضح أن سكان السودان مسلمين وعرب وليس هنالك ما يبرر غزوهم، وأرفق بذلك شجرات أنساب سكان السودان العربية كما روى ذلك نعوم شقير. ثم تلى ذلك تسجيل أشجار نسب الفقهاء الذين دخلوا السودان من الجزيرة العربية ومن مصر وشمال افريقيا في القرنين السادس عشر والسابع عشر، وانتسب السكان إليهم وانتشرت أشجار النسب التي دونها مؤلفو المخطوطات المحلية والتي ترجم عدد كبير منها ماكمايكل في الجزء الثاني من كتابة "A History of the Arabs in the Sudan" والذي اعتمدنا عليه هنا.
وقد قام الاستاذ سيد علي محمد ديدان بجهد كبير استمر لسنوات في ترجمة وإعداد هذا الكتاب المهم فله من كل السودانيين الشكر والتقدير لهذا العمل الكبير، وقد طبع مركز عبد الكريم ميرغني الكتاب عام 2012. ونأمل أن يهتم الاستاذ أحمد عبد الغني بالعمل على ترجمة كتاب مهم في تاريخ السودان وهو كتاب كراوفورد "Crawford, The Fung Kingdom of Sennar" يقدمه في الاحتفال بتراث سنار عام 2017م.
ولسنا هنا بصدد صدق أو عدم صدق الرواية وما ورد فيها من انتساب للعرب- وسنعود إلى ذلك لاحقاً- وما يهمنا هنا هو إلقاء بعض الضوء على بعض ما ورد في ذلك التراث عن السكان والقبائل للتعرف على مفهوم السودانيين قبل ثلاثة قرون لأصول سكان السودان. وما ينبغي علينا في البداية معرفتة هو أن ما ورد من معلومات في ذلك التراث عبارة عن روايات اعتمدت على بعض الأحداث التاريخية ثم صاغها الخيال الشعبي ليلبي رغبات وتطلعات المجتمع المسلم الجديد بعد قيام دولة الفونج. ولا ينبغي أن نعتمد كل ما ورد في ذلك التراث باعتباره حقائق تاريخية.
ومن أقدم مخطوطات التراث السوداني مخطوطة التجانية في خرسي بكردفان والتي تتكون من 85 صفحة تحصل عليها ماكمايكل من الدرديري محمد، خليفة التجانية بخرسي في ذلك الوقت. وقد نسخها الدرديري من مخطوطة والده التي ترجع إلى عام 1836 والمأخوذة من نسخة أقدم. والمخطوط مكون من ثلاثة أجزاء الجزء الأول كتبه السيد غلام الله بن عائد جد الركابية والذي يُروى أنه شريف أتى من اليمن واستقر في دنقلة في القرن الخامس عشر. وهذا الجزء يتناول تاريخ العرب العام.
وفي عام 1680 أضاف محمد ود دوليب الأكبر الجزء الثاني من المخطوط، وأضاف محمد ود دوليب الأصغر عام 1738 الجزء الثالث من المخطوط. وأهمية هذه المخطوطة تتمثل في تدوينها للمفاهيم المبكرة عن السكان والتي سادت في تلك الفترة من عمر دولة سنار. وقد نقل محمد ود دوليب الأصغر (ماكمايكل ج2 ص197) تصور أهل السودان في ذلك الوقت لأصول السكان فقال: "أصل السودان أهل الوطن: النوبة والحبشة والزنجُ ثم أول داخل عليهم البربر. القبائل التي تنحدر من الهمج تنتمي إلى الزنج، والتي تنحدر من الفونج تنتمي إلى جماعة النوبة. والقبائل العربية في السودان غير أصلية[ترجمة ماكمايكل النص الأصلي للمخطوط والذي لم أره أنا foreigners] واختلطت بالقبائل المذكورة وتكاثرت معهم. بعض القبائل احتفظت بسماتها العربية، وعناصر النوبة والزنج الذين انتشروا بينهم تطبعوا بطباعهم، ولكن في كل حال فهم يعرفون أصولهم."
فالمجموعة الأولى من سكان السودان الأصليين- كما بين ود دوليب- هم النوبة والزنج، ووضح أن قبائل الهمج تنتمي إلى الزنج، والفونج ينتمون إلى النوبة. والمجموعة الثانية هم من دخل السودان بعد ذلك وهم البربر والعرب. وسنلقى بعض الضوء على هذه الإثنيات الواردة في المخطوط لبيان مدى فهم أجدادنا لانتماءاتهم، وهل فهمنا الحالى لتلك الإثنيات هو ذاته فهم أجدادنا؟ وأرى أنه من الضرورى تسليط الضوء على كل الاثنيات التي وردت في الفقرة أعلاه لمراجعة فهمنا الحالي لمفاهيم أجدادنا عن أصول السكان. وسنبدأ بالعرب ثم نتناول بقية الاثنيات: الزنج والحبش والبربر والنوبة والهمج والفونج.
معرفتنا الحالية للقبائل العربية في السودان- بغض النظر عن صحة أو عدم صحة انتماءاتها العربية- تتمثل في مجموعتين: مجموعات عرب الجنوب الذي تمثله مجموعة جهينة مثل قبائل رفاعة والشكرية والحمر والكبابيش وغيرها. ومجوعة قبائل الشمال وتمثلها مجموعة القبائل الجعلية وبقية القبائل التي تنتمي إلى قريش وبقية عرب الشمال.
ومصدرنا في هذه المعرفة- كما ذكرنا سابقاً- هو ما ورد في مخطوطات وأشجار نسب التراث. غير أننا أخذنا بعض ما ورد في تلك المصادر عن القبائل العربية، وأصبحت هي فقط المعروفة في ثقافتنا الشعبيىة بالقبائل العربية وتركنا الكثير من القبائل الأخري التي ذكرت تلك المصادر انتمائها للعرب.
وفيما يلي سأذكر أسماء بعض القبائل التي ذكرت المصادر انتسابها للعرب. وسأرجع في ذلك إلى المخطوطات التالية: مخطوطة ود دوليب المذكورة أعلاه، ومخطوطة- أو نسب- الشريف الطاهر بن عبد الله الركابي في دنقلة في بداية القرن السادس عشر والمشهورة في مخطوطتي النور عنقرة والشيخ ود بدر، ومخطوطة طه الفكي شيخ البطاحين ويبدو أن أصولها- كما ذكر ماكمايكل- ترجع إلى القرن السادس عشر، ومخطوطة أحمد بن الفكي معروف كتبها عام 1860 وترجع أصولها إلى القرن السادس عشر، ومخطوطة صادق الحضرة المحسي، ومخطوطة الشيخ عبد الله جاد الله ناظر الكواهلة، ومخطوطة حامد محمد جبر الدار زعيم المسبعات، ومخطوطة تخص أحد فقهاء المحس بقرية كترانج في النيل الأزرق.

مصادر الثراث تجعل انتماء المجموعات القبلية أعلاه إلى العرب على نفس مستوى انتماء المجموعات الجعلية والجهينية المشهورة. يعني هذا أن مصدرنا في الانتماء للعروبة واحد. فهل يا ترى تدخل هذه القبائل في إثنية العرب التي ذكرها السيد الصادق المهدي في خطابه؟ ما دام المصدر واحد، فعلينا إما أن نعترف بالكل أو نرفضها كلها. وأكرر هنا أنني لست بصدد ما إذا كانت هذه القبائل وغيرها تنتمي حقيقة أو لا تنتمي إلى العرب بقدر ما نحن بصدد التعرف على ما في ذاكرة هذا الشعب من انتماءات نضعها كلها على طاولة البحث والنقاش من أجل البحث عن حقيقة الانتماءات.
من ثقافتنا الشعبية عن أصول سكان السودان هم: الزنج والحبش، ومؤلفو التراث لم تكن لديهم معرفة بسكان السودان القدماء الذين أسسوا حضارة ودول كوش.
مواصلة للحديث عما ورد في خطاب السيد الصادق المهدي عن الاثنيات في السودان فقد طلب مني الأخ والصديق البروفسور عبد العزيز عبد الغني ابراهيم- وبعض الزملاء- أن أتناول كل الاثنيات التي وردت في مخطوطة ود دوليب بشيء من التفصيل تحت عنوان مستقل. وتلبية لهذه الرغبات فإنني سأتناول هنا الزنج والحبش ثم أتناول في مقالات لاحقة الأمازيغ (البربر) والنوبة والعنج.
الزنـج: قال ود دوليب في مخطوطته التي كتبها عام 1680م "أصل السودان أهل الوطن: النوبة والحبشة والزنجُ ثم أول داخل عليهم البربر. القبائل التي تنحدر من الهمج تنتمي إلى الزنج، والتي تنحدر من الفونج تنتمي إلى جماعة النوبة. والقبائل العربية في السودان أجنبية اختلطت بالقبائل المذكورة وتكاثرت معهم. بعض القبائل احتفظت بسماتها العربية، وعناصر النوبة والزنج الذين انتشروا بينهم تطبعوا بطباعهم، ولكن في كل حال فهم يعرفون أصولهم."
لقد استمد مؤلفو المخطوطات وأشجار النسب السودانيين مفهومهم عن الزنج من المؤلفات العربية المبكرة والتي ترى أن الزنج والنوبة والحبش والبجة من أبناء حام بن نوح استوطنو افريقيا. قال الزبيدي (تاج العروس ج1/ ص 1425) عن الزنج "الَّزِنْج" بالفتح "ويكسَر" لغتان فصيحتان "والمَزْنَجَة" بالفتح "والزُّنُوجُ" بالضّمّ: جِيلٌ من السُّودان تَسكنُ تحت خَطِّ الاستواءِ وجَنُوبِيَّه وليس وراءَهم عِمَارَةٌ. وقال بعضُهُم: وتَمتدُّ بلادُهم من المَغْرِب إِلى قُرْبِ الحَبَشَة وبعضُ بلادِهِم على نِيلِ مِصْرَ."
المقصود بالمغرب هنا غرب افريقيا، والمقصود بالزنج على نيل مصر سكان نهر النيل في منطقة خط الاستواء. فالزنج في مفهوم مصادر التراث العربي جزء من "السودان" أي الناس ذوي اللون الأسود. يقول أبوالفداء (المختصر في أخبار البشر في مسعد، المكتبة السودانية ص 210) "من أمم السودان: الحبش والنوبة والبجة والدمادم والزنج والتكرور والكانم" ونقل أبو الفداء وصف جالينوس للسودان بأنهم يختصون "بتفلفل الشعر وخفة اللحا وانتشار المنخرين وغلظ الشفتين وتحدد الأسنان ونتن الجلد وسواد اللون وتشقق اليدين والرجلين وكثرة الطرب..." وربما لإرتباط مفهوم الزنج في مصادر التراث العربي بالسود والسودان ربط مؤلفو التراث السوداني بين الزنج وأصول سكان السودان. وربما من أجل ذلك أيضاً ومن أجل ارتباط الزنج بالرق دأب بعض أجدادنا إلي البحث عن أصول لهم خارج هذا النطاق فانتسبوا للعرب. ولا نلوم أجدادنا بقدر ما نلوم أجيالنا المعاصرة على عدم استخدام نتائج المعارف الحديثة في تقييم وتقويم مفاهيم أجدادنا وما اختاروه.
وقد ذكر ود دوليب (ماكمايكل ج2 ص197) "أن موطن الزنج جبل يقع على خط الاستواء وجنوبيه سكنه السود، وليس وراءهم أحد". وموقع خط الاستواء في الجغرافيا العربية المبكرة لا يختلف كثيراً عن موقعه الحالي. وعن الزنج في السودان يقول صديق الحضرة (ماكمايكل ج2 ص91) "سكان دنقلة الأصليين بين البحر الأحمر وخط الاستواء زنج وفدوا من نجد والعراق". ويقول ود دوليب (ماكمايكل ج2 ص200) "أخضع العنج النيل الأبيض وانقسمت أمم الزنج إلى أقسام متعددة ظل بعضهم تحت قيادات زعمائهم بينما دخل البعض الآخر تحت قيادة العرب الذين احتلوا أرضهم". ومن بين القبائل التي نسبها مؤلفوا التراث للزنج: الجانجي والفرتيت والزغاوة (انظر ماكمايكل ج2 ص185 و196).
فالزنج في مفهوم مؤلفي التراث هم إخوة النوبا والحبش من ناحية، ومن ناحية أخرى هم وافدون من مناطق خط الاستواء في الجنوب، بينما ترى الرواية الأخرى أنهم وفدوا من العراق. غير أن مؤلفي التراث اعتبروا الزنج سكاناً أصليين باعتبارهم المكون الأساس للسكان منذ البدايات المبكرة للاستيطان قبل النوبة والعنج الذين اخضعوا الزنج، مما يوضح أن الزنج أقدم من العنج.
ويلاحظ على ما ذكره مؤلفو التراث عن الزنج أنه لم تكن لديهم معرفة بسكان السودان القدماء الذين أسسوا حضارة ودول كوش. ولم تكن لهم دراية بارتباطهم بأولئك السكان، ولايرون صلة بينهم وبين بناة الآثار الكثيرة التي يعيشون بجوارها. ولذلك نظروا إلى أولئك السودان القدماء باعتبارهم السكان الأصليين للسودان وربطوهم بالزنج لأن كل سكان افريقيا الأصليين هم أبناء حام: النوبة والحبش والبجة والبربر والزنج، وبالطبع هذا ليس صحيحاً.
فافريقيا قارة بها أجناس أصيلة متعددة كما وضحت ذلك النظريات القديمة في تقسيم السلالات البشرية وكما وضحت الدراسات الحديثة في مجال الحامض النووي. وليس هنالك صلة بين الجنس الزنجي ذي السمات المعروفة بين علماء الأجناس والتي يشاركهم في بعضها سكان السافنا الافريقية بين السنغال واثيوبيا، كما يشاركهم في بعضها أيضاً سكان السودان مؤسسي حضارة وممالك كوش التي امتدت بين دارفور غرباً والبحر الأحمر شرقاً وبين النيل الأبيض جنوباً وأسوان شمالاً، والذين ربطهم مؤلفو التراث بالجنس الزنجي. ويبدو بوضوح عدم دقة فهم مؤلفي التراث للجنس الزنجي باعتبارهم الزغاوة زنوجاً، إذ من المعروف أن الزغاوة عرقيا ولغويا ينتمون إلى مجموعات سكان الصحراء الكبرى.
الحبـش: ليس هنالك أكبر من أمة الحبش إلا الروم
مفهوم مؤلفي التراث عن الحبش وأصلهم اخذوه أيضاً من المصادر العربية المبكرة. وقد صنفت تلك المصادر الحبش وفقاً لتقسيم التراث العبري الذي يجعل كل شعوب العالم من سلالة أبناء نوح عليه السلام حام ويافث وسام. وجعلت تلك المصادر الحبش والنوبة والبجة من سلالة حام.
وكان للحبشة موقع خاص في نفوس مؤلفي التراث العربي وذلك لما تمتعت به الحبشة وملكها في نفوس المسلمين المبكرين عندما أحسنوا استقبال المهاجرين الأوائل قبل الهجرة إلى المدينة. فقد قال الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم كما روى ابن كثير عن ابن اسحاق (السيرة النبوية ج2/ ص4) لأصحابه عندما اشتد عليهم أذى قريش: "لو خرجتم إلى أرض الحبشة، فإن بها ملكا لا يظلم عنده أحد، وهى أرض صدق، حتى يجعل الله لكم فرجا مما أنتم فيه".
وقد روى البخارى في صحيحه (ج12/ ص259) قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ مَاتَ النَّجَاشِيُّ "مَاتَ الْيَوْمَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ فَقُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَى أَخِيكُمْ أَصْحَمَةَ" وأوصى النبي أصحابه كما روى ابن داود في سننه (ج11 ص 387) "اتْرُكُوا الْحَبَشَةَ مَا تَرَكُوكُمْ".
وصورت المصادر العربية المبكرة الحبشة كدولة ذات قوة وشأن في المجتمع الدولي في ذلك الوقت فوصفها ابن حوقل (مسعد ص76) قائلاً: "بلد الحبش بلد عظيم لا غاية له" وقال القلقشندي (ج2/ ص330) عن ملكهم: "الملك الأكبر الحاكم على جميع أقطارهم.. وتحت يده تسعةً وتسعين ملكاً، وهو لهم تمام المائة". وقد يفسر هذا ما جعل ود دوليب الأصغر الذي كتب مخطوطته عام 1738م أن يجعل أمة الحبش تفوق أمة الأتراك في العدد، ويقول: "ليس هنالك أكبر من أمة الحبش إلا الروم". (ماكمايكل ج 2 ص 199).
ورغم أن المصادر العربية المبكرة خصصت الحبش وبلادهم بمنطقتي اثيوبيا وأرتريا الحاليتين، إلا أنها أطلقت اسم الحبشة أيضاً بصورة عامة ليشمل بعض سكان السودان الحالي وبعض جيرانه غرباً. يقول المسعودي في كتابه مروج الذهب (موقع الوراق ج1 ص176) "وأما غير هؤلاء من الحبشة الذين قدمنا ذكرهم من أمعن في المغرب مثل الزغاوة والكوكو والقراقر ومديدة ومريس والمبرس والملانة والقوماطي ودويلة والقرمة، ولكل واحد من هؤلاء وغيرهم من أنواع الأحابيش ملك، ودار مملكة".
فالحبش، كما صورهم المسعودي، أمة عظيمة وممالك متعددة نعرف منها في هذا النص الزغاوة والكوكو وهم سكان مناطق غرب بحيرة تشاد، والمريس وهم سكان ما بين الأقصر في صعيد مصر ودنقلة في شمال السودان. وقد اعتبر كل من الطبري (مسعد ص37) والقلقشندي (مسعد 295) البجة من أجناس الحبش، بينما جعل اليعقوبي (مسعد ص23) مملكة النجاشي ضمن ممالك البجة. ووصفت المصادر القبطية (ساورس بن المقفع وأبو صالح الأرمني، مسعد ص77 و83 و146) ملك مقرة بملك الحبشة.
أدى مثل هذا الإرث إلى خلق مكانة عالية ومتميزة للحبشة والحبش عند مؤلفي التراث السوداني، ولذلك لم يكن مستغرباً أن يجعل كتاب التراث الحبش من المكون الأساس لسكان السودان، وأن يصف جبارة داود الذي كتب مخطوطته عام 1911م الملك تهارقا وجيشه (ماكمايكل ج2 ص324) مرة بالنوبيين ومرة أخرى بالحبش. وقد استخم مؤلفو التراث أيضاً اسم مكادة للدلالة على مسلمي الحبشة. وسنعود لكل ذلك بشيء من التفصيل عند نشر الجزء الرابع من كتابنا: "السودان الوعي بالذات وتأصيل الهوية".
